The Quaternary Geology theme deals with the data collected during the annual geological surveys carried out by Géologie Québec and which illustrate events that occurred during the Quaternary period. The analysis and interpretation of the field data leads to the production of geological maps that represent the different types of surface deposits, landforms and erosion marks observed in the mapped areas. Symbols presented in the following sections are those used in SIGÉOM to illustrate and distinguish the different elements associated with Quaternary geology.
